Book of Life
I had the incredible opportunity to be a part of the musical production "Book of Life," where I took on the role of an elderly nun in a supporting capacity. This character was the comedic heart of the play, requiring me to delve deep into physical and vocal humor. Transforming into this elderly character involved extensive makeup artistry to achieve the aged appearance, a task I took on with dedication and precision. As a versatile performer, I also showcased my dancing skills, necessitating five makeup changes during each performance to transition seamlessly between scenes. I not only sang a song, complete with a choreographed routine but also took pride in creating the headpiece of the character, a whimsical chicken. Moreover, the fast-paced nature of the production demanded quick costume changes and microphone swaps, highlighting my adaptability and organizational skills in a live performance setting. This experience in "Book of Life" enriched my artistic repertoire, pushing me to excel in multifaceted roles and cultivate a strong work ethic within the theater industry.
